# ... do bankers really have the limpest handshakes?
# ... is shopping for groceries the most relaxing, therapeutic activity of the week for other people too?
# ... is the world suddenly full of babies? They're everywhere - on my Facebook timeline, in the malls, at restaurants, smiling out of billboards, smiling out of the windows of the cars passing me by. They're everywhere I look. It's like the whole world around me suddenly developed baby fever.

From Veteran of the Psychic Wars by Blue Oyster Cult:
You ask me why I'm weary, why I can't speak to you
You blame me for my silence
Say it's time I changed and grew
But the war's still going on dear
And there's no end that I know
And I can't say if we're ever...
I can't say if we're ever gonna to be free

Do your eyes hurt from making pages on Quark Express?
Do your eyes water when you sub public-sandaas dirty copies from stringers?
Do you mistake cyan for blue, red for pink and lemon for green while choosing those godforsaken colours on the stylesheet?
Fear not!
The simple Sub Terrain — Eye Test For Sub-Editors © will tell you if you need to get your eyes checked or not!
Just refer to the image above: do you see the word "champ" written on it?
No?
You need to see an eye doctor, my friend!
Hurry!
Tell your other sub-editor friends if they need to see the doc.

Me: Yaar, who’s that woman on your desk… with the curly hair and black glasses? I said ‘hi’ to her yesterday and then I realised I had forgotten her name.
S:The name’s XXXXXX YYYYY.
Me:Oh yeah. Forgot her name actually.
S:What about her?
Me: No No... I saw her at our XXX office yesterday and said hi and all. Then I realised I don’t remember her name. Which is kind of embarrassing.
S:It’s not... Imagine if she was a guy, and not very attractive at that, would you be embarrassed?
Me: Yes... it has happened very frequently.
S:Congratulations, you are a nice guy.
Me: Har har har.
S:(And a follower of the Bajrang Dal also!)
Me: ROTF LMBO!

Surya: Who asked you so many questions?
Me: You've asked one.
Surya: What?
Me: That's your second stupid question?
Surya: Will you please tell me the first one?
Me: This is your third stupid question.
Surya: Pagal ho gaya hai kya?
Sent at 12:41 PM on Friday.
Me: Fourth.

To an outsider, the cold in Delhi can be depressing. The body may not not adjust easily; 11 am becomes the new 6 am.
Everyday, the day threatens to start. Afternoons feel like mornings. Just when you think the sun would now shine full bloom, on comes darkness.
To quote Calvin, sometimes there just aren't enough hours in a day.

I've ever seen that on an application form before. I was applying online for a passport when I discovered this very interesting option.

Have you ever being obsessed with an idea?
Not an ordinary idea, but one that might change your life, and perhaps, bring you more happiness, comfort and peace. And when you’re taken over by such an idea, you think about it all day, all night; you lose sleep, you lose perspective, you feel a distinct lack of motivation to carry on with life as it is, so much so that you want life to be in no other way than as you see it in that idea. And suddenly, you experience helplessness and the sadness that accompanies it.
It’s as refreshing as falling in love all over again.
Also read: That quote from the movie, V For Vendetta.

On a recent Walk The Talk interview with Bipasha Basu, Shekhar Gupta ended the chat by saying to the actress "... and may you grow bigger and bigger...".
(Watching the interview on TV, we held our breath)
"... as an actress," Gupta ended.

It's like politics: if you're pro-Congress means you must protest every action of the BJP; if you're pro-Hinduism it must imply you're a Islam-hating fascist; if you're a Sourav Ganguly supporter, then you must dislike everything Greg Chappell does.
It doesn't work out that way, does it?
And if it does,

Subject: little kitten needing a home
hi all, meet leia, the three week old kitten we rescued from certain main road + onfiltered= kitty death yesterday morning. her mum's abandoned her and i've been looking for someone to adopt her (can't keep her at my place because we're out all day and there's no one to supervise her relationship with my dog, who hates cats) - she's very very tiny, very very cute and absolutely born for humans because she loves curling up on laps and necks and bellies and arms and purring away like water bubbling on the boil. please let me know if you're interested in homing her, or pass this email around to folks you know who can help find her a home.
she's currently being babysat by my darlingest friend nischint who has to take her to work at his mtv office in a little basket (much to the delight of all the women there i'm sure) but this is a temporary solution for just a few days
help, help people no i'm not givingher to the spca - all the animals in there die interested people mail me or call : radiantbear@gmail.com/ 9819841375
